Executive search is a specialist form of recruitment focused on identifying and placing senior leaders — C-suite, VP, and Director-level — who are typically not actively looking for a new role. Unlike standard recruitment, it involves proactive market mapping, direct outreach to passive candidates, and a rigorous assessment process tailored to the specific mandate.

What is the difference between retained and contingency search?

Retained search involves an upfront engagement fee, giving the client exclusive focus and commitment from the firm throughout the process. Contingency search is fee-on-placement only — no upfront cost, but typically less exclusivity and depth. For senior, complex, or confidential mandates, retained search delivers greater accountability and thoroughness. Vitalé advises on the right model for each mandate and delivers effectively under either structure.

How long does an executive search take?

A typical executive search runs 8–14 weeks from brief to accepted offer, depending on seniority, market availability, and role complexity. Highly specialised searches — such as AI/ML leadership or niche sector roles — may require additional time for thorough market mapping. Vitalé sets clear milestone expectations at the outset of every engagement.

Do you work across the GCC and internationally?

Yes. Vitalé has deep GCC market expertise — particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia — and conducts searches globally. Our founders have placed talent across the GCC, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia. We advise on cross-border transitions, compensation structuring, and cultural fit for each geography.

How do you handle AI, data, and technical leadership roles?

Our technology advisory is led by a co-founder who is a practising Staff AI Engineer with hands-on experience across energy, fintech, and AI research. Every technical brief is assessed against the real demands of the engineering environment — not just the job description. We evaluate AI/ML candidates with the same technical rigour we apply in active engineering practice, separating genuine capability from credentials alone.

How is confidentiality handled?

All mandates are conducted with absolute confidentiality as standard. We do not disclose client identities to candidates without consent, do not share candidate information without authorisation, and position every engagement to protect the reputations of all parties involved.
